Introduction
This story and the stories provided on this site are intended to provide a more personal and in-depth view of my background. For my professional experience, please view my Resume.
For more information on my programming, machining, music or other skills please view the Hobbies page.
Young creative with his finger on the pulse of technology, holding a never-ending passion for engineering complex systems.
Seeking to leverage my skills in creating and supporting a wide array of technology. Designing electronics at six, incorporating a robotics business,
and revitalizing / operating a plethora of machines are just a few of my achievements along my engineering journey.
The Beginning | 2009 - 2014
Embarking on this journey, I delved into the realm of engineering by making an FM radio at the age of six, including a 90v DC power supply for extreme range. This project marked the genesis of my constant exploration and questioning of technology. Around a year later, we purchased a Bridgeport Series 1 CNC mill from an auction and began rebuilding it to modern standards. I adapted the radio's power supply to drive the DC brushless motors in this mill. The subsequent year saw the inception of a larger-scale venture, as we started conceptualizing a dedicated workshop to house these projects and our corporation. Following our unwavering determination, Elysium Innovations was incorporated at the beginning of 2014, with the shop's construction finished the year prior.
The Middle | 2014 - 2019
Venturing into the heart of my story, the years between 2014 and 2019 brought a period of relentless innovation and collaborative efforts.
Using our newfound manufacturing capabilities, we began constructing three industrial-grade woodworking machines.
These machines included a planer, crown molding cutter, and router table. They will be used to convert 2000 board feet of lumber into beautiful fixtures in a
second house we are building at Elysium.
Concurrently, I continued maintaining our flagship EDI product, VQMajik. This led us to a customer named Atlas Technologies, which required a BOM reporting tool.
With haste, we developed this tool in C# delivering precisely what they needed. Their satisfaction created a strong connection that led to us taking over their IT
department contractually.
Following signing the Atlas contract and finishing the woodworking machines, things settled for a time. This led me to join First Robotics where my
engineering prowess could continue growing. Through my time in this period, I gained extensive skills in multiple engineering fields, always branding the
fundamentals into my brain for the deepest understanding of our world.
The Present | 2019 - 2024
Fast-forward to the present, my story remains ever-evolving. With our philosophy dictating robotics as the future and AI as a gold rush, it is imparitive for
Elysium Innovations to move in this field. We have begun prototyping multiple robotics systems that are planned to be in-market by mid 2025.
Due to this, I joined Metro Wireless in 2021 and stopped taking a salary from Elysium Innovations to speed up machine acquisition.
Recent acquisitions include an injection molder and a gear shaping machine, which are expected complete by mid to end of 2024, unlocking further manufacturing
capabilities. In this contemporary landscape, my focus remains razor-sharp, bridging the realms of creativity and technology as I continue to drive Elysium Innovations
foward, contributing to my ever-expanding engineering odyssey.

Cluster coming together, with an included 2.5" HDD bay.
Cluster system finished with operating systems installed.
Top cover designed and in place, completing the stack.
System installed with SSDs and stable ethernet to router.
Elysium Innovations server stack, hosting static IP services.
Scalable and Cost Effective.
A redundant, scalable server system beyond my needs.
- Initial Cost per Node: 70$
- Electrical Cost per Year: ~4$ / Node
- Node Specifications: Quad-Core ARM64 CPU, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM
When this project was first developed, scalability and cost were deciding factors. The primary cost would be incurred from the 24/7 operation of a large server, and scalability would become difficult without being in the position to purchase new server hardware.
With these requirements in mind, a cluster of single-board computers was born. After designing a modular case in Autodesk Inventor, Proxmox was installed on two nodes. Each single-board computer costs ~70$, providing eight cores and 16GB of RAM for 140$ total. Each Raspberry PI added to the cluster uses roughly, at full load, $4-5/year in electricity cost.
This server, running Nginx, has been load tested extensively. Running 10,000 total connections, the virtual server throttles around 2,400 connections per second. Considering this server is only one of four possible VMs per node, this system is scalable beyond my needs.
The Elysium Innovations stack is the server system located at my private company. It has a static IP from Spectrum Business and does not block port 25 for SMTP instances. Its webservers are currently unavailable as I develop them further. Please check back later for more information, or ask me about it!
